SIH is pleased to announce the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board has granted unanimous approval to SIH’s Certificate of Need (CON) application for the expansion and modernization of the SIH Mulberry Center, an inpatient mental health facility on the campus of SIH Harrisburg Medical Center.

SIH honored the heart and soul of its hospitals — more than 100 volunteers and auxilians — during its annual Systemwide Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on April 23 at Giant City Lodge.

About 40 coaches from junior high, high school and college programs across Southern Illinois gathered March 28 at Legends at Walker’s Bluff for the 8th Annual SIH Coaches Clinic—a dynamic day packed with practical tips, expert insight and real-world solutions to help keep student-athletes healthy and game-ready.

SIH team members came together in a powerful display of generosity and commitment at the Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser in Carbondale on Feb. 22, benefiting the Carbondale Warming Center.

Southern Illinois Healthcare (SIH) Sports Rehabilitation invites local coaches to join the 8th Annual SIH Coaches Clinic on Friday, March 28, at Legends at Walker’s Bluff.

"It's a very, very common problem and it flies a little bit under the radar," said Adrian Martin, MD. "It can become a very significant problem with significant health consequences, especially later in life."

February is American Heart Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about heart health and preventing heart disease.

A $3,000 donation from the Gordon Graves Foundation, led by retired educator and Harrisburg native Linda Graves, marks a significant milestone for the SIH Mulberry Center renovation and expansion.
