Registration is now underway for the annual Hearts in Motion Awareness Walk, coming to Becker Pavilion and Campus Lake at Southern Illinois University Carbondale on Saturday, Sept. 27. Sponsored by the SIU nursing program, Southern Illinois Healthcare (SIH) and SIH Prairie Heart Institute, the event is both a fundraiser and a public awareness activity focused on heart health.

SIH honored the heart and soul of its hospitals — more than 100 volunteers and auxilians — during its annual Systemwide Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on April 23 at Giant City Lodge.
