Medicare Checkup Time
October 15 - December 7, 2026
A few minutes reviewing your coverage today could save you money and frustration next year.
If you have Medicare, Open Enrollment is your yearly opportunity to review your health and prescription drug coverage for 2027. Even if you are satisfied with your current plan, benefits, provider networks, prescription formularies, and costs can change from year to year. Taking a fresh look may help you find better value and coverage.
WHAT'S NEW FOR 2027?
MEDICARE PRESCRIPTION DRUG COSTS REMAIN CAPPED
Did you know? Medicare Part D now limits annual out-of-pocket prescription drug costs to $2,100. Once you reach that amount on covered medications, you will pay $0 for covered Part D drugs for the rest of the calendar year. Medicare is also continuing to implement negotiated prices on select high-cost prescription medications, helping many beneficiaries save money.
Medicare Coverage Review Checklist
Before enrolling, ask yourself:
- ☐ Have any of my prescriptions changed?
- ☐ Are my doctors and specialists still in-network?
- ☐ Am I paying more than necessary for coverage?
- ☐ Could another plan provide better drug coverage?
- ☐ Am I using all available benefits, including dental, vision, hearing, fitness, or wellness programs?
- ☐ Have I reviewed my Annual Notice of Change (ANOC)?
